20.18 querer in interrogative clauses

Is querer used in an interrogative clause the translation can be with shall or with would like to as follows.

  Example

¿Quieres que te ayude? = Shall I help you? or Would you like me to help you?
¿Quieres que te diga algo? = Shall I tell you something? or Would you like me to tell you something.


When asking after the will of somebody else there the English version can be formed with shall. Deber is in this case not the right form In Spanish! It has to be querer.
