Actually con is a rather simple preposition. It simply means with.

Me lo dijo con una sonrisa. = He said to me with a smile.
Viajo a Italia con ellos. = I travel with them to Italy.
Vivimos con él en Argentina. = We lived with him in Argentina.

  conmigo, contigo, consigo


There are some special forms for combinations with con and a personal pronoun singular.

Si no vas conmigo, me voy sólo. = If you do not go with me, I go alone.

Contigo me iría hasta la luna. = Together with you I would go to the moon.
Él no está my contento consigo. = He is not content with himself.
